Due to our continued growth, ELEMIS have created a brand new role in the Commercial Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Commercial Finance Analyst supports our Retail and Spa estate. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality analysis and performance insights across multiple sales channels and product categories, enabling improved commercial outcomes and operational efficiency. Think retail store budgets, sales reporting, commission reporting, SKU level reporting and analysis! Your work will help the business to answer questions and make data-driven decisions. This role works in a Commercial Finance team of seven, and works alongside two other Analysts. We’re on a journey to improve our reporting suites, which means you will have a brilliant opportunity to drive automation.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with the Commercial Finance team to deliver accurate, timely and insight-driven reporting that supports business performance.
- Performing analysis on large and complex data sets to produce weekly KPI driven Retail, Spa and Product reporting, providing commentary and sharing this information with key stakeholders.
- Partner with the Management Accounting team to assist in month end process, including detailed cost analysis across channels and support monthly gross margin reviews.
- Assist with Budget and forecasting processes including setting up templates and carrying out relevant checks.
- Continuously improve accuracy of reporting dashboards with the support of the BI team, ensuring these are the source of truth.
- Champion automation of reporting in partnership with the BI team, driving ways to report and use the data more efficiently, reducing the manual burden.
- Drawing actionable insights from the data, presenting any opportunities to the Commercial teams.
- Provide ad hoc analysis which helps the business to answer questions and supports commercial decision-making.
What We Are Looking For:
- Part Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA
- Data analysis and interpretation: comfortable handling large and complex data sets, able to manipulate the data and present it in a user friendly format for different users. Uses the data to tell stories, and presents insights accompanied by meaningful actions.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI user!
- Commercial mindset: able to grasp the bigger picture goals and business direction ensuring output is aligned to the strategic priorities. Spots opportunities to improve KPI’s and supports sound decision making.
- Problem solver: applies curiosity to assess gaps or blockers impacting deliverables, is able to explore to overcome challenges to apply remedies. Listens deeply to stakeholder needs and propose solutions that practically solve problems or needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: builds relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business, supports others and leads with a high service orientation.
- Adaptable: approaches change and ad hoc requests with enthusiasm, is able to shift seamlessly from one project to another to meet the business demands.
- Accuracy and efficiency: takes pride in improving accuracy of data ensuring stakeholders view outputs as being reliable, identifies ways to drive efficiency in reporting suites.
- Organisation: able to prioritise workload and handle competing deadlines to deliver the work to standard and on time.
