Summary of role and key responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on the HR system.
- Process employee changes including promotions, contract changes, and leavers.
- Support employees and managers with basic HR system queries and escalate complex issues where appropriate.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including issuing contracts, scheduling inductions, and preparing new starter documentation.
- Conduct Right to Work checks in line with legal requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries related to HR processes.
- Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation, and system updates.
- Track probation periods and prepare probation outcome letters and contract amendments for review and approval.
- Coordinate the annual performance appraisal cycle, including scheduling, reminders, and tracking completion.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 yearβs experience in a HR Assistant or similar HR support role.
- Exposure to core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, and HR administration.
- Experience maintaining accurate employee records within a HRIS.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing with employees and managers.
- CIPD level 3 (desirable).
