Elemental Surf Academy is looking for a passionate and experienced surf instructor to join our team for the 2026 season. We are a leading surf school in Newquay, Cornwall, and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible learning experience. Most of the job will be working with large groups of children delivering surfing, bodyboarding, hand planning/body surfing and beach games sessions.
Responsibilities:- Teach watersports lessons to individuals and groups of all skill levels, with a focus on large groups of children.
- Provide safety instructions and ensure a safe and fun learning environment.
- Assist students with equipment selection and maintenance.
- Promote Elemental Surf Academy and its values.
- ISA Level 1 or 2 Surf Instructor certification (For Surfing).
- Current lifeguarding certification (Essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS (Essential).
- At least 2 years of coaching and/or work experience with children.
- Experience working with SEND children.
- Experience teaching in a variety of wave conditions.
- Competitive Pay is dependent on experience.
- Opportunity to work with a team of experienced and passionate surf instructors.
- Training and developmental pathways will be available.
