We are supporting our alternative provision company, Elmtree Learning Partnership in recruiting for senior roles, such as Site Lead and Deputy Site Lead for our provisions in Weston-super-Mare and Bristol. With our ever growing business, we are always on the look-out for inspiring and experienced individuals to join our team.

Role Overview

Supporting learners accessing Elmtree Learning Partnership to achieve success in an educational environment, without increasing any attainment gap already present as a result of challenges to succeed. The role will be to support and lead learning activities in supporting learners that have special educational needs (SEND) surrounding SEMH. The support in this setting is largely on a 1:1 basis working in close collaboration with the other support staff. The ability to guide colleagues, build rapport and have excellent communication skills to feedback on student progress will be key in order to be successful in this role. Enhancing their offering, the AP are continuing to expand their team of LSAs according to their local authority referrals. Their referrals have significantly increased over the last 12 months due to student progress and ultimately the success of their student outcomes when they move on from the setting. Previous experience of working with learners that have these challenges, Team Teach training or using other positive behaviour strategies would be an advantage in being considered for this job opportunity. For a successful applicant, free Team Teach training would be offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all learners and staff.
  • Assisting in the management of daily centre operations, ensuring smooth running and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Contributing to team leadership, including supervision and mentoring of staff and learners.
  • Supporting the Site Lead with compliance and safeguarding protocols, maintaining high standards across the provision.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in centre or site management within an educational or alternative provision setting.
  • A background working as a Deputy Site Lead, Centre Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on safeguarding and pastoral support.
  • The ability to foster positive relationships with learners, staff, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports learners with diverse needs.
