About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and resilient KS2 Teacher to join a small, rural primary school near Taunton from September. This is a unique opportunity to work within a close-knit school community of just 28 pupils. The successful teacher will take responsibility for a mixed KS2 class of 14 pupils across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Due to the mixed-age nature of the class, the successful candidate will need to confidently plan, differentiate and deliver learning across multiple year groups. At times, this may involve teaching different groups using separate boards or screens to ensure learning is appropriately tailored to each year group.
The class has a high level and variety of SEND needs. One pupil has an EHCP and receives dedicated 1:1 support from a Teaching Assistant, while another pupil currently attends on a part-time timetable.
This is a full teaching role with responsibility for planning, delivering lessons, assessment and marking. The Headteacher will provide support where needed, and the successful candidate will have access to a wide range of resources.
