Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for a rewarding contract opportunity in South Gloucestershire? Our client in the Thornbury area is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their vibrant school community. This role offers a fantastic chance to make a positive impact on student learning and development within a supportive environment. No planning or marking is required for this role, and all work will be set by the Head of Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Develop and adapt schemes of work to meet curriculum standards and student needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and scientific enquiry.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance science education across the school.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching and Learning Status (QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching General Science at secondary level.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring young learners and fostering a love of science.
- High standards of professionalism and commitment to student achievement.
