About the role

Elementa Wales is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic fluent Welsh-speaking ICT Teacher to work with schools across

Torfaen .

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ICT specialist who can bring technology to life in the classroom and inspire learners to build the digital skills they need for the future.

Fluency in Welsh is essential , as teaching will take place through the medium of Welsh.

In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging ICT and digital learning lessons, supporting pupils of varying abilities to develop their knowledge, confidence and practical skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging ICT lessons through the medium of Welsh, in line with the relevant curriculum.
  • Inspire pupils to develop their digital skills, problem-solving abilities and confidence with technology.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil achievement.

Requirements

Fluency in Welsh essential.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong knowledge of ICT, Computing or Digital Technology.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A positive, flexible and professional approach.
  • EWC registration, or willingness to register.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.

Desirable

  • Previous experience teaching ICT within a Welsh-medium secondary school.
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
