Elementa is recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker for a secondary school in the Kingswood area of Bristol. Your role is to ensure the welfare, safety, attendance, academic engagement and emotional wellbeing of the young people within the academy. You will promote and model the Academy’s culture of high-expectation and achievement and assist in ensuring the smooth running of the academy on a day-to-day basis. This will support in providing an excellent setting in which students can maximise learning opportunities and overcome learning barriers.

Location: Dorking, Surrey

Pay: £90 - £120 per day

Type: Temporary (possible permanent)

Hours: Full-time

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Short-term to begin with, until the end of November, with the possibility of continuation thereafter.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role is desired, or relevant experience in a school setting, with knowledge and understanding of process and procedures in education.
  • A DBS on the update service would be preferable, to allow a quicker start time due to potential delays with new applications.

Contract & Recruitment Information:

Elementa is the recruiting partner; applicants after pre‑screening will be required to complete the registration process for Elementa. This includes full vetting and background checks and an application for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable £53.20) unless you have a current Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service.
