We are working with a secondary school in Weston-Super-Mare to recruit a qualified History Teacher for a fixed-term position during Term 4. About the Role

  • Working primarily within a secondary education setting, you will be responsible for delivering engaging History lessons to GCSE level students.
  • The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and professional team, focusing on fostering a love of learning and keen understanding of the curriculum.
  • The role is fixed-term for Term 4, providing stability for the duration of the academic year.
  • This is a full-teaching role, therefore planning and marking will be required.
  • There will also be the requirement to teach some Health and Social Care lessons, which will be part of the regular timetable.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum, particularly Humanities and History
  • Good classroom management and organisation skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners

Contract & recruitment information
