Elementa Support Services are working in partnership with a respected Academy in Swindon, seeking an experienced Chemistry Teacher to join their dedicated team on a contract basis. This is a full-time role commencing on 2nd February 2026, with ongoing opportunities to support the school's continued commitment to excellence in science education.
About the Role
The position is based within a well-established secondary academy, accommodating between 66-250 staff members. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages, creating a positive learning environment that fosters curiosity and scientific understanding. This contract role is scheduled to start on 02/02/2026 and will continue until further notice, offering a supportive environment for a committed professional to contribute long-term to the school's success.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
- Strong background in Chemistry, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Experience working in a secondary school setting is preferred but not essential, provided you are confident to deliver engaging science lessons
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Any appointment will be subject to a successful interview process, satisfactory references, Safeguarding & Prevent training, DBS Enhanced Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20 unless you have a DBS subscribed to the Update Service) and successful completion of a 12 week / 60 paid day employment trial period.
