About the Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching PSHE within a SEND, secondary, or specialist school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across the PSHE curriculum, including areas such as emotional wellbeing, relationships, independence, and life skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, accessible, and highly structured lessons that meet a wide range of additional needs
  • Confidence in differentiating activities to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including EHCP requirements
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with a calm, consistent, and nurturing approach that supports pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, and positive personal development for all learners
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, working effectively with pupils, support staff, external professionals, and parents/carers

Contract therefore, applicants being considered for the role after pre-screening will be required to complete the registration process for Elementa. This includes full vetting and background checks and application for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20), unless you have a current Enhanced DBS subscribed to the Update Service.
