SENDCo Type: Permanent Hours: Full-Time Location: Trowbridge Start: 01/09/2025 Salary: £30,000 – £49,084 + TLR/SEND point

Elementa are recruiting for a SENDCo to join this successful secondary school and lead the SEND provision, supporting the learners and school staff team. This secondary school have long-enjoyed a good reputation, excellent academic results and good Ofsted ratings. Whilst the standards at the school are very high, the staff team remain welcoming and friendly which creates a great working environment and education setting. Stabel leadership over many years have helped maintain consistency for staff and students.

SEND provision at the school has always been well managed and students well provided for. The right person for this role will have demonstrated good performance in a similar previous role and demonstrate the ability to foster positive relationships with students & staff alike.

Essential criteria:

• SENDCo qualification OR extensive SEND experience and willingness to undergo SENDCO training
• UK QTS
• UK SEND teaching experience
• clear DBS (civil offences may be permissible)

This role is not suitable for candidates/applicants:

• Requiring sponsorship for right to work in the UK
• Without UK teaching experience
• Without UK SEND experience

Elementa will be managing all applicants and screening their suitability for the role & school. Elementa are not a supply agency, we are a recruitment partner to schools and also operate Alternative Provision services, Special Schools and also provide schools services (training, uniforms, consulting, etc.)

All applicants will go through pre-screening. Appointments may be made through trial-contract. A DBS Enhanced Disclosure application will be required for this role (which may be chargeable at £62.70) unless you have a clear DBS Enhanced Disclosure subscribed to the Update Service. A clear DBS is desirable but not a barrier to being considered.
