Elementa is working with a number of secondary schools across Bristol to recruit passionate and dedicated Science Teachers for a range of permanent and long-term positions. Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive environment to begin your career, we'd love to hear from you. Our partner schools are committed to delivering high-quality Science education and are looking for teachers who can inspire curiosity, develop scientific thinking and help students achieve their full potential. You'll have the opportunity to teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with some roles also offering Key Stage 5 teaching in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

We work with a variety of schools, from well-established community schools to academies, each offering supportive leadership teams, collaborative Science departments and excellent opportunities for professional development.

The Role

  • Teach engaging and well-planned Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools).
  • Deliver lessons across the Science curriculum, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics where appropriate.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing success of the Science department and wider school community.

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A passion for Science and inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
