General Teaching Assistant
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
About the role
Elementa Wales is seeking a caring and proactive teaching assistant who is committed to helping pupils thrive to work with schools across Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying flexible work.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting learning in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups, and helping pupils engage confidently with school life, ensuring pupils receive high-quality learning and support.
Key responsibilities
Support pupils during lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and participation.
Help prepare resources and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
Observe pupil progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements
Relevant experience supporting children or young people.
The ability to build positive relationships and follow teachers’ guidance.
Strong communication, patience and reliability.
A positive, flexible and professional approach.
Desirable:
A relevant support qualification or experience with additional learning needs. (beneficial but not essential).
