Elementa Support Services is partnering with welcoming primary and secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf to find enthusiastic Sports Coaches ready to bring their energy, leadership, and coaching skills into education. What you'll be doing

  • Supporting PE lessons, sports activities and extracurricular clubs
  • Working alongside teachers to engage pupils in the classroom
  • Mentoring individuals and small groups to improve confidence, resilience and participation
  • Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND and helping them access learning
  • Promoting positive behaviour and acting as a positive role model
  • Supervising lessons and delivering pre-planned activities where appropriate
  • Playing an active role in school life, encouraging teamwork, wellbeing and inclusion

What we're looking for

  • Experience coaching children or young people in any sporting environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence managing groups and building positive relationships
  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (or be willing to obtain it)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (we can help)

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working in schools or educational settings
  • Experience supporting pupils with ALN/SEND
  • Coaching qualifications (Level 1, 2 or above) in any sport
  • A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to different school environments
  • An interest in progressing into teaching or a long-term career in education
