Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward‑thinking secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic Sports Coaches and PE Specialists who can inspire young people through physical activity, teamwork, and positive role modelling. This is an excellent opportunity for sports coaches, recent graduates in Sport, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related subjects, and individuals with coaching backgrounds who are looking to gain valuable school‑based experience and build a long‑term career in education. Your experience motivating teams, leading sessions, managing behaviour, building confidence, and supporting wellbeing are highly transferable skills that schools value greatly.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging PE lessons, practical activities, and sports sessions across KS3 and KS4
- Support students to develop teamwork, resilience, confidence, and healthy lifestyles
- Supervise classes and maintain a positive, safe, and well‑managed learning environment
- Adapt activities to support students of varying abilities and needs
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion at all times
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and wider school communities
- Support extracurricular sports clubs, enrichment activities, and school events where appropriate

What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in coaching, education, sport, or community settings
- A passion for education and supporting young people
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
- The right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field
- Relevant coaching qualifications (FAW, UEFA, Level 2 Coaching, etc.)
- Experience within secondary schools or educational settings
- Interest in progressing into teaching, PGCE, or school‑based training routes
Any appointment will be subject to:
- A successful interview process
- Satisfactory references
- Safeguarding & Prevent training
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20 unless subscribed to the Update Service)
- Successful completion of a 12‑week / 60 paid day employment trial period
