About the Role

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress
  • Assist pupils with additional learning needs, social development, and emotional wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with students and help create an inclusive learning environment
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task
  • Gain experience managing classroom behaviour and supporting positive learning attitudes

Essential Requirements

  • To work in schools in Wales, successful candidates must:
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a Learning Support Worker or School Learning Support Worker (support available if you need to register)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Elementa Support Services
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
