What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher
- Keep pupils engaged, focused, and on task throughout the lesson
- Develop excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive engagement
- Work across a range of subjects and year groups in supportive secondary schools
- Gain first-hand experience of school life from experienced teaching professionals
- Build the confidence and practical skills that PGCE providers value
No lesson planning or marking required—just enthusiasm, professionalism, and the confidence to lead a classroom.

- Hold (or are due to achieve) a degree in any subject
- Are considering a career in teaching or education
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Can think on their feet and adapt to different situations
- Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

Essential Requirements
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) in the appropriate category (Elementa can support you with the registration process)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Elementa
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
