Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with primary and secondary schools across Wales to recruit enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience, support continuity of learning, and make a real impact within English-medium or bilingual settings.
About the Role
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
- Support pupils’ learning and engagement across a range of subjects
- Communicate confidently in English to support classroom learning
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience working with children or young people (school‑based experience desirable)
- Strong classroom presence and confidence managing groups
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to register
Desirable:
- Experience within English‑medium or bilingual education
- A proactive and adaptable approach to classroom support
- Interest in progressing into teacher training or a PGCE
