The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 Β£ per year.

This HLTA opportunity is to work at a secondary school based in North Somerset. The school would like someone to work for terms 5 & 6 and may consider successful applicants for a future permanent post with the school afterwards. The role will mainly involve working closely with the Hub teacher and supporting the students with their learning, including 1:1 work, small-group work, and supporting students in main classroom environments. This means you can gain great experience, always learn something, and work with a variety of learners and colleagues.

You will be working within the Student Welfare Team in the school's 'Hub centre', which supports children that have additional learning needs with the school's SEND team. From previous staff feedback, this is a great team and place to work, both for the colleagues that you will be working with and the setting and resources you have at your disposal. The ideal person will have an enthusiastic nature and good collaborative team-working skills from previous school-based support work with children. Typical qualifications and skills we look for in someone include:

  • NVQ CACHE Level 3+ qualification (or equivalent level of experience)
  • Literacy & numeracy (English & Maths) GCSE grade A* - C
  • Good ICT skills
  • Resilience & Reliability
  • Good communication skills
  • Good rapport with staff & students
