About the Role

Elementa Wales is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of PE to work with schools across Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified PE teacher looking to make a positive impact on pupils’ physical development, confidence and wellbeing while enjoying flexible teaching opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons, encouraging pupils to participate in physical activity and ensuring they receive high-quality teaching and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
  • Plan and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.
  • Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Encourage participation, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress and development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a range of sporting activities.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, flexible and professional approach.

Desirable

  • Experience teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE PE (beneficial but not essential).
