About the Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Ideally, experience working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, or a genuine willingness to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
- A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching, with the ability to build positive relationships and foster pupil confidence.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated History lessons that inspire and support learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, working effectively with colleagues, support staff, families, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Availability to work full‑time from as soon as possible, with flexibility to provide cover through October half term and potentially until Christmas.
