Overview
The Senior Business Development Manager is the commercial leader responsible for driving growth across a designated cluster or sub-division, through the leadership of a commercial team. The Sales Managerâs focus is on leading, coaching, and enabling their team to grow and meet or exceed their budget. This role will focus on our consumer & industrial sector. They are accountable for the commercial success of their area, including revenue performance, customer acquisition, share of wallet growth, and strategic execution. Through goal setting, structured coaching, and consistent use of Elementâs commercial excellence tools, the Sales Manager ensures that the team is aligned, focused, and equipped to achieve high performance across their cluster or market area.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership, Coaching & ComEx
- Provide leadership, support and coaching
- Set clear goals and priorities
- Conduct regular 1:1, team meetings, pipeline & performance reviews
- Build a culture of high performance, trust and continuous improvement
- Embed ComEx processes and mindset in daily work
- Drive CRM adoption and discipline
- Performance Management
- Own the teamâs revenue performance, pipeline health and forecasting accuracy
- Oversee execution of account planning and pricing consistency
- Identify underperformance early and coach to success
- Partner with ComEx & Marketing
- Provide insight into market trends/challenges
- Join and contribute to weekly S&OP meetings
- Compliance & Conduct
- Comply with Elementâs commercial policies and compliance requirements
- Demonstrate Elementâs values of Integrity, Care and Progress
- Operate within all applicable laws and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct
- Ongoing Development
- Participate in training, coaching and team learning
- Engage with Element Academy and other resources to strengthen skills

- Bachelorâs degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Typically, around 10-15 yearsâ B2B sales/account management with sales management experience
- Strong ability to analyse sales data, identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations
