Company - &Element (Element Softworks Ltd) is a digital development and growth agency based at the University of Essex Innovation Centre. We help businesses modernise their digital operations through web development, automation, AI and performance-driven marketing. We work with organisations ranging from growing SMEs through to enterprise brands such as Meta, Samsung and Philips.
We are looking for an SEO & digital growth manager to take ownership of client SEO accounts, run client meetings, and help businesses grow through data-driven digital optimisation. This is a client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys combining technical SEO knowledge with strategic thinking and client communication.
Role Overview
You will manage a portfolio of SEO clients, leading monthly strategy meetings, identifying growth opportunities, and coordinating the work required to improve performance. You will work closely with our developers, designers and content specialists to deliver measurable improvements in traffic, rankings and conversions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure execution and take ownership of client growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Client management
- Run monthly SEO performance meetings with clients
- Present SEO results, insights and strategy clearly
- Manage ongoing client communication and expectations
- Build strong client relationships
- Conduct technical SEO audits
- Perform keyword research and competitor analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve search visibility
- Develop monthly SEO roadmaps
- Campaign planning
- Plan and prioritise monthly optimisation work including:
- technical SEO improvements
- content strategy and writing
- internal linking improvements
- organic traffic

- conversions and leads
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in SEO or digital marketing
- Experience running client meetings or managing client accounts
- Strong understanding of:
- technical SEO
- keyword research
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar
Nice to have
- Experience with WordPress or CMS platforms
- Understanding of conversion optimisation
- Experience working within an agency environment
