We have fantastic opportunities for Production Operators to join us at our manufacturing site in Wantage, Oxfordshire. Working in one of the three areas of our production facility - Conversion on a rotating 2 shift pattern (Earlies, lates), you will play a key part in the manufacture of technological products for our worldwide business.

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to support the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing processes. Previous production experience isn't necessary, we offer full training and the opportunity to progress your career. We'd love to hear from you if you've got previous work experience gained in other industries such as retail or warehousing. We're looking for keen, ambitious individuals who would like to apply their previous experience in our production facility.

Our production areas in Despatch department work on a system of two rotating shifts, incorporating early and late shifts from Monday through to Friday. Responsibilities include:

  • Operate a pedestrian and/or high lift forklift truck where applicable.
  • Operate machinery in accordance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety Policies.
  • Report defective equipment. Report all accidents and breakages.
  • Carry out QC tests/inspection where appropriate and report any deviations to the Supervisor.
  • Report safety and quality issues through the 1B and 1Q systems.
  • Report all production transactions to SAP/SFoL in an accurate and timely manner to ensure accurate stock.
  • Carry out on the job training of new starters when fully trained and competent.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities such as 5S.
  • Generate ideas and participate in implementing improvements to the department.

  • Safety & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSHH).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
  • Quality Focus: Understanding of quality control principles and the importance of product consistency.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately complete production records and follow written procedures.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in chemical processing or manufacturing are a plus.
