Are you ready to make a role truly your own? Element Recruitment are exclusively supporting a fantastic business that are currently establishing a brand-new FP&A function from scratch. Reporting directly to a newly promoted Head of Commercial Finance, you will have a blank canvas to build out business insights, shape data analysis, and directly influence our commercial direction. This is a high-visibility role designed for someone on an upward career trajectory. If you bring high energy, proactive drive, and a collaborative spirit, you will find mentorship, progression, and development here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build from Scratch: Take ownership of a brand-new function, establishing fresh templates, performance analysis, and commercial commentary.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with senior operational stakeholders to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial teams.
  • Commercial Support: Partner with the Head of Commercial Finance to drive key business objectives, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously find ways to elevate our data analysis and deliver sharper business insights.

The Ideal Profile

  • Qualifications: We are highly flexible. You could be fully Qualified, Part-Qualified (with full study support provided), or Qualified by Experience (QBE). Aptitude and attitude are what matter most.
  • Experience: You have solid foundation exposure in an FP&A or commercial finance environment (we are happy to consider junior-to-mid level candidates looking for a step up).
  • Background: An industry background is highly preferred (this role is likely not suited for a first-mover straight from an accounting practice).
  • The "X-Factor": You have excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to build strong relationships across the business.

What's on offer?

  • Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, offering the perfect balance of collaboration and flexibility.
  • Pension Scheme: A highly generous pension, with employee contributions matched by the company up to 10%.
  • Time Off: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, plus a holiday buy scheme.
