The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, providing technical support, and assisting with staff supervision and client advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping as required
- Reviewing accounts prepared by trainees and providing mentoring or guidance
- Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact
- Supporting clients with business and tax planning advice where appropriate
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Assisting partners with ad-hoc projects and client advisory work
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in an accountancy practice
- Confident in preparing and reviewing accounts for a wide range of clients
- Strong communication and organisational skills
