A purpose driven and thriving organisation in Bath is seeking a Financial Accountant. The role will suit someone technically strong, with broad responsibility around both financial and management accounts and oversight of the transactional finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop, with an in-built progressive career path to follow. You will have ownership of financial accounting standards, balance sheet discipline and audit readiness, setting the tone for strong control, compliance and consistency across the finance function.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP
- Prepare year-end audit files
- Oversight of a small team, including AP
- Ensure supplier invoices are correctly coded, approved and processed
- Review payment runs and ensure a strong audit trail
- Support annual budgeting
- Contribute to rolling forecasts
- Support finance systems integrity and drive improvements in month end
Your Profile:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Experience within professional services is preferred
- Experience supporting statutory accounts and audit preparation
