Element recruitment are working with a fantastic business in North Bristol who are looking for a Finance Assistant / Finance Administrator to join their growing finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 years' finance experience who is looking to develop their skills and take the next step in their career.
You'll work closely with the Finance Manager, gain exposure to a broad range of finance duties and get involved in ad-hoc projects and reporting.
There's also AAT study support on offer, alongside the option to move to a 9-day fortnight once probation has been successfully completed - a great opportunity to build your career while getting some extra flexibility too!
What you'll be doing
- Managing daily bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Processing client invoices, credit notes and supplier invoices
- Taking ownership of credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Dealing with client invoice queries via phone and email
- Processing card payments and managing direct debit mandates
- Preparing regular finance reports
- Supporting the wider business with day-to-day finance queries
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects and tasks
What we're looking for
- At least 1 years' experience within a finance team
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communication skills, particularly when dealing with clients
- Someone who is happy working both independently and as part of a team
