Element Recruitment are looking for a proactive and organised HR & Payroll Administrator to join their busy HR team. This is a varied role supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll administration, training coordination and HR systems management.

This opportunity would suit an experienced HR Administrator or HR Assistant looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR and payroll systems.
  • Process employee changes including contracts, absences, expenses, and payroll-related information.
  • Support recruitment activities including advertising roles, arranging interviews, completing pre-employment checks, references, DBS checks, right-to-work verification, and onboarding processes.
  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment terms.
  • Liaise with payroll to ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries and expenses.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes, maintain training records, and monitor compliance.
  • Produce HR reports, management information, and statistical data as required.
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Assistant, or similar role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience working with HR and payroll systems.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

This role offers hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home after initial settling in period. Due to office location, you will need to be able to drive.
