One of Bristol's best employers is currently seeking a Financial Accountant for 16 months, as a technical lead on an important area of the business. You could be straight out of practice, or coming from an industry role, but you will hold very strong stakeholder management skills. Although this is a long contract, there is always a possibility this could grow into something more longer term. Either way, you will gain incomparable exposure in a fast paced and ever evolving organisation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading financial accounting and reporting, including monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and year-end statutory financial statements
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end group recharge processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, cost allocations and intercompany settlements
  • Act as a finance business partner
  • Support a wide range of technical accounting projects across the business, including acquisitions and disposals
  • Ensure all month-end closing activities are completed accurately whilst maintaining a robust financial control environment
  • Produce concise financial analysis, models and ad-hoc reports to key stakeholders and budget holders in the business, to support commercial decisions.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) ideally with 2+ years PQE
  • Strong technically
  • Advanced Excel
  • Confident stakeholder management skills
