Element are looking for an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Technician to join our commercial product testing team. This is a hands-on role preparing equipment, supporting test engineers, and conducting EMC tests in line with commercial standards and internal procedures.

The role offers training and excellent development opportunities which is ideal for someone with technical aptitude, good attention to detail, and an interest in electronics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up and assist with EMC testing of electronic equipment.
  • Accurately record measurements and observations.
  • Prepare and maintain lab setups, equipment, and test environments.
  • Follow internal procedures and contribute to lab housekeeping.
  • Support site-based testing at customer premises when required.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Technical qualification (e.g. BTEC, HNC, Degree) in engineering / STEM subject or relevant experience in a testing or lab environment.
  • Familiarity with test equipment and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

To be successful in your application for this role you will require:

  • Willingness to support testing at customer locations.
  • Availability to work Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00, and Friday: 08:30–15:45 (37.5 hours per week).
  • A team-focused and safety-conscious attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.
