The Business Development Manager – Aerospace Vibration Testing is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market share for aerospace environmental and dynamics testing services. This role focuses on vibration, shock, acceleration, climatic, and combined-environment testing programs supporting aerospace, defense, space, and advanced mobility customers. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop account strategies, and collaborate with engineering and laboratory operations teams to deliver comprehensive testing solutions that help customers achieve qualification, certification, and product reliability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Sales
    • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and profitability target
    • Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within aerospace, defense, space, and emerging technology market
    • Build and maintain relationships with engineering, quality, procurement, and program management stakeholders
    • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, industry events, and referral
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract award and project handoff
    • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
    • Negotiate commercial terms and long-term service agreements
  • Account Management
    • Serve as the primary commercial contact for key aerospace accounts
    • Develop account growth strategies and identify opportunities for cross-selling additional testing services
    • Maintain regular customer engagement to understand evolving qualification and certification requirements
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and coordinate resolution of commercial or service-related issues
  • Technical & Market Leadership
    • Develop a strong understanding of vibration and environmental testing standards including RTCA DO-1 Aerospace OEM and prime contractor specifications
    • Collaborate with laboratory and engineering teams to develop customer-focused testing solutions
    • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging aerospace technologies
    • Support strategic initiatives involving commercial aviation, defense systems, spacecraft, launch vehicles, UAVs, and advanced air mobility platforms
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Partner with operations teams to ensure accurate scoping, scheduling, and execution of customer programs
    • Coordinate with marketing teams on campaigns, trade shows, and industry conferences
    • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and CRM records
    • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Aerospace, Physics, or related field
  • 5+ years of business development, technical sales, or account management experience
  • Experience selling aerospace testing, engineering, certification, or technical services
  • Strong understanding of aerospace qualification and environmental testing processes
