Element has an opportunity for a MCERTS Level 2 qualified Stack Emissions Team Leader to join its growing team in Luton. This role will be responsible for leading our stack emissions testing campaigns and overseeing all parts of the on-site testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Lead on-site sampling and monitoring activities
  • Ensure all testing is completed as per method standards and requirements
  • Ensure the highest level of quality is sustained throughout each testing campaign
  • Site inductions and write POW risk assessments
  • Oversee all health and safety considerations on site and throughout testing campaign
  • Operation of sampling and test equipment to measure emission levels
  • Collation of site information relating to the monitoring and corresponding process activities
  • Interaction and communication with customer contacts and regulators
  • Adherence to company and client health and safety protocols
  • Cleaning preparation, repair, calibration and maintenance of test equipment
  • Maintaining stocks of consumable items
  • Handling shipments of samples to analysis laboratories
  • Maintenance of numerous records in accordance with our accredited QMS

Skills / Qualifications:

  • MCERTS Level 2 Team Leader qualification
  • Interest in environmental monitoring and industrial processes
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be provided
  • A full driving license is essential as extensive travel, including overnight stays, will be involved
  • You will be a good team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
  • You will be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in physically strenuous situations, and where manual handling of scientific equipment is required
  • Attention to detail and a desire to provide excellent customer service are desirable characteristics of the successful candidate
