Element has a new opportunity for an Electrical Safety Test Technician to join our expanding team at our Hull Centre of Excellence. This role is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills, experience and enthusiasm to support the Element product safety team with delivering first-class, high-quality service to our customers. This position will enable the right person to develop their skills and also play a vital part in helping our customers realise their goals of getting innovative new products to market and contributing to "making tomorrow safer than today".
Core Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with Element procedures to ensure all safe working practices are followed.
- Responsible for performing tests and inspection in accordance with relevant electrical safety standards under supervision from Test Engineers.
- Responsible for ensuring test records, test areas, test equipment and client equipment are maintained in accordance with ISO 17025.
- Responsible for ensuring that test equipment and procedures are used and maintained correctly to ensure compliance with ISO 17025.
- Highlight when test equipment is out of calibration including review of calibration data as required.
- Ensure that commercial confidentiality is maintained.
- Reviewing customer user guides and marking label to ensure relevant requirements are present.
Skills / Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will be qualified to A-Level, T-level, BTEC or HNC in Electronics or equivalent.
- Good communicator, both written and verbally with the ability to converse with customers and colleagues.
- Computer literate with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Team player with a demonstrated personal commitment and drive and the ability to get the job done.
- Ability to plan, organise and manage workload in an efficient and timely manner.
