Responsibilities

  • Drive a strong safety-first culture by owning EHS standards, conducting and reviewing risk assessments, and ensuring clear, effective standard operating procedures are understood and followed at all levels.
  • Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing equipment performance, maintenance data, and facility processes to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and enhance operational efficiency using tools and techniques such as root cause analysis, standard work, and preventive maintenance optimisation.
  • Manage a robust Preventive Maintenance programme across plant and wider facilities, utilising the MaintainX CMMS to plan, execute, and record all maintenance activities while ensuring all documentation, results, SOPs, and risk assessments are accurately stored and controlled.
  • Maintain and update accurate site plans and layouts using CAD software to reflect changes in utilities, equipment, and facilities, supporting safe operations, compliance, and effective space management.
  • Lead and deliver all maintenance and facilities projects, including Capital Expenditure initiatives, by defining clear scope and objectives, managing timelines and budgets, and measuring success through agreed performance, cost, and delivery metrics in a complex operational environment.
  • Have a great understanding of servicing our equipment to prevent operational failure to maximise the output of our production, including troubleshooting.
  • Take full ownership of contractor management on site, ensuring rigorous EHS governance through effective control of permits, RAMS, inductions, and statutory certifications to drive a safe working culture.
  • Own the maintenance spares and materials strategy by creating and maintaining a critical spares manifest, defining robust ordering and inventory control processes, and centrally managing all parts, budget control, and purchasing liaison through the MaintainX CMMS to ensure correct spares availability and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Maintain full compliance with personal and site safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Be a trusted official key holder.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering or related area.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.
  • Proven experience of leading and embedding change initiatives while managing impact, risk and resistance effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Proven experience of contractor management and third‑party suppliers to deliver safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes.
