Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor and measure each unique test and record all data onto our database
  • Ensure test samples are stored and handled correctly
  • Take part in test preparation by cutting, sizing, labelling and affixing samples
  • Assist with deliveries, sign in and booking in of samples

Skills / Qualifications

FIRA is the commercial service provider of the Furniture Industry Research Association. We are a unique player in the Testing, Inspection and Certification of products to the furniture industry. This is a great time to join a unique and fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. You will:

  • Be confident to perform lower to intermediate testing of projects (once trained)
  • Educated to a good standard
  • Have strong attention to detail, be analytical as well as having good written and verbal skills (can use a computer)
  • Prioritise and coordinate a busy workload
  • Able to work alone at times and complete testing projects from start to finish
