If you are an experienced professional from either the construction, civils or building products sector looking for a change of career, then our Passive Fire Scheme Auditor position could be a step in the right direction. Element is a leading company in the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector with opportunities to provide quality compliance assessments to our customers.
This role sits within our BM TRADA business providing certification services within the passive fire, PAS24 security, timber construction and welding sectors. We would be willing to consider individuals with transferable skills from the construction sector as a whole or from quality assurance professionals who are open to learning the construction products sector.

Responsibilities- Manage a number of BM TRADA customers within the London / South East region, both new and existing, in the fire door and fire stopping installations schemes
- Plan, book and carry out site assessments of installers and maintainers within the timescales required under the rules of the certification schemes
- Accurately record findings during client assessment visits and submit reports in line with operational target objectives
- Review and approve responses to any non-conformance's raised during audit visits within agreed timescales
- Act as the first point of contact for any certification queries those customers may have
- Good IT skills using MS Office
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent time management with the ability of meeting deadlines
- Able to operate independently or as part of a team
- Preferably a background in construction having worked within carpentry / joinery teams and with knowledge of the British and European standards involved in the production of fire doors and materials utilised during the installation process
- Full certification scheme training, including the IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, will be provided
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Own diary management, being on the road for 4 days per week, but using 1 day working from home for report writing
Competitive Salary and Car Allowance on offer. This role work from home role is covering the London and South East region (Hertfordshire / Kent / London / Buckinghamshire etc).
