Element Human (Crowd Emotion Ltd) has been around for six years, learning about emotions and working through several iterations of our new HX Workbench. We currently primarily work with brands, agencies and publishers, but we support anyone who wants to understand how people feel about them and their products. We plan to grow fast but sustainably and we are looking for new team members who can help with that. We want to find people who will work independently, hold themselves to a high standard and support their teammates. In return, we are flexible about hours and encourage working from home. We believe that if we treat our employees like adults they will produce their best work.

What we need for this role: After six years working with emotions and behaviour, we have just released our new platform and we are looking for someone who can help our team develop it further. We are looking for someone who has practical experience in building big analytics systems, handling row counts of 100 million or more, or data measured in terabytes. We would prefer someone who has implemented SQL and NoSQL database designs in a big data context and has previously worked with agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the gap between backend web development and data science teams
  • Work on backend data pipeline development
  • Integrate backend web services with databases/data warehouses
  • Develop cutting-edge data processing infrastructure
