Overview:
Our team’s mission is to provide first‑level support for all fulfillment systems (including WMS, WCS) at our automated production site in Derby, with occasional support at our DE facility in Barleben. As part of a new warehouse software implementation team, you will work cross‑functionally with key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. You will serve as the first point of contact for system‑related inquiries as well as develop and maintain automated test cases.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide real‑time support for our Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement, recommend and implement change controls, and define local reporting requirements
- Develop dashboards to enable system analysis and monitoring
- Continuously evaluate software systems, driving improvements through enhancements or change requests
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal development teams to resolve critical system issues
- Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials for WMS and WCS
- Ensure comprehensive reporting structures are in place to support operational transparency
- Participate in code reviews for automation quality & maintainability
- Develop and maintain automated test cases
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and supporting technologies
- Demonstrated interest in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage tasks independently while consistently meeting deadlines
- Interest in AI‑assisted engineering tools, automation, or data analysis
- Some exposure to debugging, log analysis, or quality‑related workflows
- Proficiency in object‑oriented programming languages (e.g. Java)
- Foundational knowledge of quality assurance, basic test automation, and modern testing practices
Technical Skills:
- DevOps practices

- Proficiency in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)
