Senior Transformation and Special Operations Manager in London

The Senior Transformation and Special Operations manager sits in a team that is responsible for driving understanding of, and solutions for, our most exciting opportunities and pressing problems. This includes growth projects, such as launching new verticals, or operational improvements, such as errors, reducing our carbon footprint or food waste. The team works across all aspects of operations from menu planning, to inbound logistics, production, and on to the final customer experience and has strong partnerships with our commercial, product and marketing teams.

Given that HelloFresh is a relatively new business, in a relatively new industry, we are looking for an individual for this role who thrives in navigating ambiguity, excels in strategic thinking, and possesses a unique talent for creative problem-solving. You will also need to have strong stakeholder management skills, able to organize diverse teams across the business to deliver the best possible results for customers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Strategic Thinking: Develop, refine, and execute operationally strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
• Decision Making: Employ strong data-driven decision-making skills, using data as a guiding tool without becoming paralyzed by it. Make informed and timely decisions based on a robust understanding of available information.
• Conceptualization and Ideation: Translate vague or complex ideas into tangible and strategic plans, demonstrating a keen ability to extract key insights and opportunities even in the face of uncertainty.
• Business casing: Be able to take vague and new concepts and turn them into accurate and clear business cases to provide the correct insights for senior management to sign off.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Actively identify hurdles and bottlenecks, applying creative problem-solving skills to find optimal solutions. Think outside the box to remove obstacles and pave the way forward.
• Project Management: Oversee operational projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders effectively. Drive a culture of accountability and ensure milestones are met.
• Communication: Clearly articulate strategies, decisions, and reasoning to various stakeholders. Build consensus and alignment through effective communication.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with projects. Develop contingency plans and adapt strategies as needed.
• Accuracy in Estimation: Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in estimating project timelines, resource requirements, and potential challenges. Justify and communicate these estimates effectively.
