The Field Service Engineer(s) are responsible for installation and servicing of all Elekta products within the UK. This role primarily focuses on MR‑Linac systems. It is a home‑based role requiring travel throughout the UK as directed by the Regional Service Manager.
What you’ll do at Elekta:
- Join our driven global team to maintain the best possible equipment for cancer care.
- Carry out planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers and telephone support from the office in the UK or a remote location.
- Carry out all work in accordance with Elekta safety instructions and procedures.
- Report any issues or problems that may adversely affect Elekta products’ reliability or personnel safety to the Service Manager timely.
- Provide feedback to the Service Manager on problems, solutions or opportunities that may need to be communicated to other parties.
- Carry out corrective maintenance without supervision within acceptable timescales, prompting escalation if required and maintaining ownership until the customer is satisfied.
- Install all systems within the product portfolio without supervision to the required specification and within project timescales.
Qualifications:
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
- Completion of all relevant Elekta technical training courses up to 3rd line.
- Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a service environment.
- Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks in hand.
- Clean driving licence.
- Familiarity with MobileIron, robotics, field service, mechanical knowledge, sonography, IP networking, schematics, mechanical engineering, medical imaging, human resources, programmable logic controllers, troubleshooting.
