Guide the team in a busy CNC machine shop and lead measurable improvements across safety, output, and team capability. This role sits within a well-established engineering group known for its technical innovation, robust product range, and investment in modern manufacturing practices. You will co-ordinate the machine shop team’s work to ensure that all parts are manufactured correctly in the most accurate, timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise daily workload and ensure it is carried out in line with achieving KPIs
  • Work with the Production Manager to facilitate the management of cell metrics, such as on time delivery, quality performance, etc.
  • Initial processing of Health and Safety - Accident and Near Miss reporting and follow up / Risk Assessments and COSHH and Quality issues
  • Set and run assigned machinery safely
  • Complete daily performance metrics and communicate results with the team.

Requirements:

  • Experience working on CNC machining (metal preferred) in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Team leadership experience, including delegating tasks, managing workload, conducting performance and conflict management, etc.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and conduct first off inspections
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP production systems
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning and quality systems
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures including Risk Assessments and COSHH.

Eligibility:
