What you will need

  • British citizenship, with eligibility to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
  • Degree or HNC/HND in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable experience applying Integrated Logistic Support across large scale complex programmes within UK defence or regulated engineering environments
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels
  • Working knowledge of defence supportability principles, lifecycle engineering and relevant standards

What you will be doing

  • Leading Integrated Logistic Support activities across bids and delivery programmes within a complex engineering environment
  • Supporting early phase bidding activities including proposal development, cost estimation and supportability input
  • Developing and managing full ILS outputs including supportability analysis, ILS plans, AR&M, supply support, training analysis and through life documentation
  • Working closely with engineering and delivery teams to influence system design for improved in service support and reduced lifecycle cost
  • Structuring and maintaining ILS work packages, schedules and delivery plans aligned to programme milestones
  • Ensuring all support deliverables meet quality, cost and time expectations across defence programmes

Skills and experience

  • Technical capability: Strong background in Integrated Logistic Support within defence or similarly regulated engineering sectors, with understanding of MOD standards including Def Stan 00-600, Def Stan 00-60 and Def Stan 00-40 series
  • Technical capability: Familiarity with MIL standards and support engineering frameworks, alongside experience of supportability analysis methods
  • Technical capability: Experience with logistics and support data systems such as LIR environments and tools including OPUS 10 and PTC Windchill
  • Behavioural capability: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex engineering requirements into structured support solutions
  • Behavioural capability: Confident communicator with proven ability to influence stakeholders across engineering and programme teams
  • Behavioural capability: High attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivery quality and customer satisfaction
