Join an expanding, highly specialised simulation team as a Simulation Systems Engineer to contribute to complex Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop testing activities. You will support the maintenance and optimisation of sophisticated simulation systems used to test and validate advanced defence technologies. This role offers excellent exposure to real‑time simulation environments, hydraulic systems and multi‑axis motion platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation and control systems
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on hydraulic motion simulators and associated equipment
- Diagnose faults and implement engineering solutions across mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Support testing activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Ideally degree-educated in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics, Aeronautical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Hands‑on CAD experience, CREO desirable
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Practical workshop experience using hand‑held and electrical tools
- Understanding of control systems theory
