Salary: Circa £50,000 Plus Paid Overtime

Location: Stevenage – 4/5 Days a Week On‑Site

About the role:

  • Provide test engineering support across the whole lifecycle from design to production through to operations.
  • Ensure that appropriate configuration control of equipment and facilities are in place prior to use, including generating supporting test specifications and operator instructions.
  • Support testing of electrical/electronic weapon systems, sub‑assemblies and circuit cards, with diagnosis of development test failures down to circuit card and potentially component level, including identification of proposed remedial and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring junior test engineers.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum HNC level of qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Significant experience in digital, analogue and RF electronics manufacture and test in a defence organisation or similar highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic test principles and test equipment, as well as systems‑level functional testing.
  • Experience across the product development lifecycle in electronics manufacturing.
  • Significant experience of using both manual and automated test equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including generating technical requirements.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criterion will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

This is a permanent position.
