An innovative technology organisation is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimise embedded systems for advanced sensing and signal processing applications. This role offers the chance to contribute to cuttingâedge projects that combine realâtime data processing, FPGA development, and softwareâdefined radio systems. Based in North Somerset, you'll be part of a collaborative and forwardâthinking environment that encourages rapid prototyping and experimentation. You'll work within multidisciplinary teams to develop robust embedded software and firmware solutions to drive hardware platforms and prototype technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Linux-based embedded platforms
- Write and integrate lowâlevel drivers and hardware interfaces
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Optimise realâtime data acquisition and processing pipelines
- Support system integration and validation
- Provide guidance or line management to junior engineers where required
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience in embedded software development for realâtime or bare metal environments
