About the Role
Youll be responsible for designing and advising on secure cloud architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring compliance with UK and international standards. Working across sectors, youll assess risks, implement robust security controls, and guide secure cloud adoption strategies. This role demands a strong understanding of cloud-native security and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
About You
You bring proven experience in cloud security, particularly within GCP, and a deep understanding of UK compliance frameworks. Youre confident working with GCP security services, identity federation, network segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code. Youre a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a consulting mindset.

Key Skills
- Secure GCP architecture design (IAM, encryption, VPC Service Controls)
- Cloud security assessments and gap analyses
- Compliance with GDPR, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, ISO 27001
- Threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
- GCP security tooling (Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, etc.)
- CI/CD pipeline security integration
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Chronicle)
- Desirable: GCP Security Engineer certification, MOD experience, scripting (Python/Bash), container security (GKE, Kubernetes)
