Our client designs, develops and delivers deployable equipment and infrastructure solutions for clients in the defence, government and humanitarian sectors, for operation in global harsh and challenging environments. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
They are currently looking for a Proposal Engineer to join them and help turn customer requirements into winning proposals. The Proposal Engineer will take ownership of how technical solutions are shaped and presented to customers.
You will:
- Review customer requirements, specifications and tender documentation.
- Coordinate technical contributions from engineering, commercial, project delivery and supply chain teams.
- Support the development of technical solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
- Produce proposal documentation including technical responses, compliance information and scopes of work.
- Assist with cost estimates, programme development and bid governance activities.
- Work with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
To be considered, applicants will need to be qualified to Degree, HND or equivalent level in an engineering, technical or project-related subject. You will have previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, preparing proposals, bids, tenders or technical submissions, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
You will need:
- Strong document preparation and review skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to gather and organise information from multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
