You will play a key role in keeping aerospace manufacturing operations running smoothly, providing reliable support across the plant, equipment and site facilities. This role gives you scope to apply broad engineering skills, solve practical problems and deliver improvements that strengthen daily production performance.

The essentials

  • You will need experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment, along with strong diagnostic capability across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
  • You should be able to interpret technical drawings, follow safe systems of work and use maintenance systems confidently to record activity accurately.

Your role

  • You will diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns to restore safe operation while carrying out planned maintenance and identifying follow-up actions.
  • The role involves working with electrical and mechanical systems, including control panels and programmable logic controllers and supporting the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
  • You will also provide facilities maintenance across buildings, utilities and site services, coordinate contractors and review safety documentation such as Risk Assessments and Permits to Work.
  • You will contribute to process improvements and help maintain governance and documentation.

Your experience

  • You will bring an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent and at least five years’ experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • You should have a broad understanding of engineering disciplines and fault-finding techniques and be able to work independently while communicating clearly with colleagues and suppliers.
